The recent news that Consumer Reports put the 2010 Lexus GX 460 on its "Don't Buy" list has already impacted the vehicle's future--Toyota has issued a stop-sale order on the $52,000 SUV and commissioned extensive testing to determine the cause of its failure.

The safety warning could also pose a public relations problem for the beleaguered company--the GX is the only vehicle to receive the "Don't Buy" designation since it was instituted last July. Only 11 vehicles have received the less-severe "Not Acceptable" rating since the list began in 1969.

Want to know the direction BMW is headed with its coupes and sedans in the future? Look no further than the Beijing Auto Show for the answer, where the German manufacturer unveiled a sleek 4-door called the Concept Gran Coupe that "carries the genes of BMW design into the future."

When Porsche AG showed the 918 Spyder at the Geneva show in March, we said it was a car to "make anyone a believer in hybrid supercar tech."

Well, maybe not anyone, but Porsche now says it has almost 900 potential buyers for the two-seater hybrid prototype as the German automaker gets closer to approving production.

Mansory Bugatti Veyron Linea Vincero
"Vincerò! Vincerò! - I will win", that is the self-confident exclamation from Nessun Dorma, probably the most famous tenor aria from Giacomo Puccini´s opera Turandot. And Vincerò is also the name of the latest automobile accessory line by refining specialist Mansory. Mansory already finds many parallels for the new name: The plot of the aria stems from a Persian tale of 1001 days which also relates to the standard motorisation of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with 1,001 hp. On the other hand, it should also refer to the origin of Kourosh Mansory, the founder and CEO of Mansory Corporation. And the opera has another reference to the offered product portfolio by ending after three acts. The LINEA Vincerò edition is also not infinite - the project is strictly limited.
